Many laser woodworkers don't take the time to sand the wood they have cut.

In our opinion metal hinges never look good on laser cut wood boxes. We have addressed how our boxes attach with out using metal hinges in six ways.

Our company commitment to the environment does not stop with reusing packaging materials and buying only sustainably harvested woods. We also work in a densely populated region so we filter the exhaust from our laser cutter to the point that it can be safely returned right into our studio. This is a costly process to protect our community. We feel strongly that no one else should breathe smoke coming from a chimney on our studio no matter how fun our art is.

We recently moved our website CedarStreetDesign.com to be hosted by Etsy. Why?

We chose to move our website to Etsy for several reasons. The most important being that we wanted to add direct sales to our website.

The smaller the box joint the stronger the union of the two pieces of wood. We use 1/8" joints as our standard because they are small enough to create a strong union and visually they are attractive with the 3mm woods that we prefer to work with.

We are a very small business and intend to keep it that way!
